So smooth. The TV show host didn’t even know what hit him. I’m still not sure he has any idea what happened. Chances are these C-SPAN dudes zone out after awhile and don’t even listen to what the caller is saying. Just nod their head and pretend to look engaged in the discussion. I wouldn’t wish that job on my worst enemy. At the right time I bet we could call in and talk about how unicorn-riding leprechauns are taking over the world and can’t be stopped unless we hop in the Delorean and change the past. The host would just be like, “Hm interesting take. Thanks for the call.” So there was no way that guy was gonna notice if Gonzo The Caller slipped in Sabby Piscitelli/John Dorsey/Justin Houston references in the middle of his drone argument. It helped that Gonzo’s delivery was flawless. Non-sports fan listening to that call were probably like, “Guy makes some good points.”
